Simply; This is the best non-Thatcham approved system you can get. Based upon our CAT1 Thatcham system, Acumen have basically 'copied and pasted' some items from the CAT1 and made it into the CAT3.1. The CAT3.1 supercedes the CAT3 by the addition of several useful features, and now includes;

CAT1 - Thatcham's Category 1, the highest specification there is, probably in the world, for motorcycle security.

The newest Thatcham-approved product. Acumen's CAT1.1 has class-leading 1.8mA current draw (substantially less when in sleep mode) and is the smallest Thatcham CAT1 alarm. So it's easier to fit in those hard-to-reach places, making it harder for any thief to access it and beat it.

The Ultimate Category 1 professionally fitted alarm featuring:

• Totally waterproof resin encapsulated electronics and waterproof Automotive-specification connectors rated to IP67 for ultimate reliability. Resists jet washing and water to a depth of 1 metre! Acumen are STILL the only alarm manufacturer to use waterproof connectors. You wouldn't dream of seeing a motorcycle manufacturer use non-waterproof connectors on the motorcycle Engine management system, so why accept non-waterproof connectors on an alarm/immobiliser system?

• THREE sirens. yes, 3. One siren for what is probably the loudest Thatcham system, and two back-up sirens in case the primary siren is attacked. the Secondary, back-up, sirens are behind a metal plate for added security and also have their own driver circuit.

• Intelligent passive arming with two user definable options when the ignition is turned off: Immobilisation and forced ignition sensor only (No more fumbling for the key for when you stop for fuel!) To full arm press the key fob. Alternatively the system can be set to provide full passive arming.

• Can be programmed to provide Turn Signal Reminder. - Never get caught flashing when you shouldn't!

• Optional programmable Nudge Sensor to reduce false alarms and provide highly effective deterrent.

• Selectable override code with up to 500,000 differs. Choose a code that means something to you!
